Jerusalem GOLD Exhibition

Touches of Gold in Contemporary Israeli Art
Tower of David Jerusalem Museum
October 29, 2026 – March 2027
Curator: Marie Shek
Yoram Chisin participates in Gold, a group exhibition at the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum exploring the expressive and symbolic possibilities of gold.
Presented alongside archaeological gold objects, the contemporary works create a dialogue between material, memory, and the meanings carried across generations.
For Chisin, gold is closely connected to experiences of loss, trauma, and remembrance.
Within his densely layered compositions, its reflective presence meets the depth of his distinctive Yo-Yo Blue, bringing luminosity and emotional intensity into the same visual space.
Gold’s associations with sacred art also resonate with Chisin’s family tradition of monumental creation.
In his contemporary abstract language, these echoes take on a personal form, where richly worked surfaces hold both vulnerability and a sense of renewal.
His contribution invites viewers to pause and look beyond gold’s brilliance, encountering a material that can carry the weight of memory while opening a space for reflection and healing.
