Light Unbound

What happens to an artist’s work when the surrounding landscape changes? In Light Unbound, Chisin explores the possibilities opened by distance, natural beauty, and a different quality of light.

Created in Tuscany, the series emerges from a setting removed from the daily pressures of conflict. This shift gives Chisin space to respond more freely to his surroundings, allowing the rhythms of nature and the experience of looking to guide his practice.

His palette softens while retaining its luminosity. Color becomes an expression of sensation: an immediate response to light, atmosphere, and the changing landscape. The brush follows a gentler rhythm, attentive to what the environment offers.

Light Unbound reveals another register of Chisin’s artistic language. Here, the pursuit of beauty unfolds through openness and sensory discovery, exploring how a place can change the way an artist sees, feels, and creates.
